Eucharist Ministers assist the celebrant with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ as Mass. Some of these Ministers also assist our priests by bringing Holy Communion to the homebound and those in nursing homes. A brief training session is necessary.
Eucharistic Ministers are assigned to serve at a particular Mass time of their choice. A two- to three-month Eucharistic Minister schedule is distributed. As well, a Ministry Listing is provided to assist Eucharistic Ministers in finding a substitute in the event they cannot serve at the Mass for which they are scheduled.
