PART ONE : Leaflet 1st Communion Lessons

Please use the Leaflet / Parent at Home guide / Video& Music Resource and any applicable worksheets to complete each one.  Links to these are below.                                  There are 4-5 weeks worth of work in the link.  Spread it out.   
Each one is about 1 1/14 long- 

** The home guide does not need to be printed out unless you want to--  it is LONG.  Read it ahead and take 'parent notes' for the lesson.

Set the environment-

• choose a quiet/ unhurried time
• set up a prayer table with a lit tealight, open Bible, cross or crucifix
• be sure to pray the prayers in the lesson with your child and repeat them often throughout the week.

Please keep the finished work in their folder so we may give children credit for completed lessons when we return from this break in our scheduled classes.

If you would like to pick them up, the actual children's leaflets are available in our office from 10:15-3 PM Mon - Thurs until further notice.   It has been wonderful to have SO many of you drop by to pick up the leaflets.   We ask that if you are going to drop by and pick them up that you call and leave a message or email Connie at [email protected] to give her warning- it's been getting hectic with so many coming in at once . 

We are not able to mail them  - if you are not able to pick them up- below is the electronic link to view/print them.  If you do not have a printer- use a sheet of loose-leaf paper to do the pages with work on them.
Be sure to read from your child's Bible.

PART TWO:   Catholic Brain Instructions

In addition to the leaflet work- we invite you to take part in a wonderful resource that we have purchased for our program.   It will be a great alternative for 'quiet time' in lieu of TV or other types of media.

On the next page you can select STUDENT and enter your child's name,  your email and create a username and password for that child.  (do this multiple times for different children.)  USE OUR SCHOOL CODE:  STM87465

We will put out further ways to use this-  BUT you can access this from any computer / tablet or phone.   

Young people can access games, movies, books, lessons, tons of video clips, Saint information, coloring sheets, quizzes, Bible stories.   LOTS OF VIDEO AND MOVIES.   Have fun exploring the site.

Everything a child does- they will receive badges and medals on their page.   We are able to see what they have done.   

We can see children PreK-12th grade and monitor them in grade level classes and will track their progress.   

We will be discussing honoring those who participate and achieve the various badges etc.   and will definitely work this towards at a minimum Family Passport work.    Check out the Lent Activities for starters!!

** Parents you can create your own log in using the parent tab and the same code.  This would allow you to play around, and select activities for our children.    You will also find the readings and stories very interesting.
